A/Prof Paul Fishburn
Associate Professor Paul Fishburn established the Skin Cancer Centre in 2009.
He completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy with First Class Honours prior to completing his medical degree from the University of Sydney; a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from the University of Wales; and a Master of Medicine degree in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland.
After five years in General Medicine he attained Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Since 2002 he has worked exclusively in the field of skin cancer medicine and surgery. From 2005 until 2010 he was the Censor of the Skin Cancer College of Australia and New Zealand where he devised the assessment program for fellowship of the college. He was an inaugural Fellow of the college by examination and received the college medal in the final exam.
From 2017, he has been a member of the guidelines committee, and a co-author of sections of the Australian Cancer Council publications on Guidelines for management of Melanoma and Keratinocytic (BCC and SCC) skin cancer.
In 2009 he was appointed Senior Lecturer in the Skin Cancer Unit of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland where he is the course co-ordinator of Advanced Clinical Cases in skin cancer diagnosis and management. He was appointed an Associate Professor of Medicine within the Faculty of Medicine, University of Queensland in 2021, and the Master of Medicine Program Convenor in 2024.
A/Prof Fishburn consults and operates (with local anaesthetic) at the Norwest and Mosman centres.

Dr Stewart Precians
Dr Stewart Precians established the Parramatta Skin Cancer Clinic in 1993. This was one of the first skin cancer clinics to start in Australia. Stewart brings to the centre a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of skin cancer medicine and surgery. In addition, over the past 20 years he has assisted in the training and examination of skin cancer doctors.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney and a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from the University of Wales. After several years working in General medicine he commenced working in skin cancer medicine and surgery. He has worked exclusively in this discipline since 1993. He was a contributor to the multidisciplinary working party expert panel as a primary care skin cancer doctor for the NHMRC publication Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Cutaneous Melanoma (1999). He is experienced in the early detection and management of skin cancers.

Dr Christene Mikhail
Dr Christene Mikhail completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy before commencing her Medical Degree from the University of Newcastle which she attained with distinction. She completed hospital training at St George and Sutherland Hospitals prior to post graduate training in general practice through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Mikhail commenced training in skin cancer medicine and surgery in 2021 and completed the Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer degree from the University of Queensland in 2024. She also holds a keen interest in medical research, and has published within the British Medical Journal on a hospital patient safety project. Dr Mikhail is a Senior Lecturer in dermatoscopy and skin cancer diagnostics at the University of Queensland.

Dr Steven Ma
Dr Steven Ma completed his medical degree in Queensland before returning to Sydney, where he worked for several years at St George and Sutherland Hospitals. He has undertaken extensive training in skin cancer medicine and surgery, including a Master Medicine Degree in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland. He has been published in peer reviewed journals on the surgical management of skin cancer.
